Why Rockets do this: With Tari Eason and a lot of their other pieces reaching the end of their rookie deals it would be of concern for their cap space, they get back a veteran like Harrison Barnes who can lead the young squad.

Why Cavs do this: Picks + Okoro is a bit of a longer term reach, you are getting a slightly worse offensive Okoro in Duarte and an underused player for the Kings who could be a great depth piece for their roster.

Why Magic do this: Nothing much you're giving up other than picks and you get a very good 3pt specialist in Huerter as well as Jock Landale.

Why Kings do this: Go more of a win now swing using up a fair bit of picks, still keep some future assets. Get young depth with a better offensive Duarte, a super good PF who could be a real big time future asset for the Kings in Tari Eason. Re-signing Monk obviously is important to them and with this they should in theory be able to (correct me if I'm wrong). Get a good defensive SG in Gary Harris as well as re-sign Len.

This also gives a lot of options for them in terms of who to draft (PG/PF/C all on the table, giving them the benefit of being able to draft the best player rather than the biggest necessity. Kel'el Ware, Yves Missi, Tyler Smith, Cody Williams, and Jared McCain all are options.
