I have a feeling Bulls are the mystery eastern team. Id be against this trade because it will guarantee the bulls lose the blazers pick to protections.

Because of Lillard requesting a trade (and possibly may pull a ben simmons) the blazers won't have as much leverage. Lillard clearly only wants miami, yet blazers aren't impressed with their offer unless they sell the farm. Bulls aren't gonna risk trading for a player who doesn't want to be there, so this is the most they'd offer.

Demar is the bulls current leader and loves to guide the young guys on the team. He works out with them during the off-season to improve their game, which would be huge for the blazers young core. Then you add in Williams, a young, but really great isolation and team defender. He plays just like Kawhi (celtics coach agrees). Bulls struggle to develop rookies so if the blazers are even slightly better at it then Williams will be an allstar for them.
