report pistons want 2 firsts or 1 first and a young player with upside. pistons getting 2 firsts and several players who could show potential in a larger role on a rebuilding team. kings getting defense upgrade. nuggets get schroder (this hypothetical deal has been floated around by reporters online). blazers get the defense at the guard postion that they desperatly need and skirt under the tax in a season where they are not contending.

Celtics for sure gonna get outbid in terms of establshed young players if the pistons want to go that route. that being said, the pistons are getting a pretty good deal imo when they are rebuilding arond young players to be developed.

celtics get simons from the blazers and give him the starting role that he is probably never gonna get in portland. while they are less commited to CJ, dame isn't going anywhere any time soon, and they are only trading cj for an all star caliber player. covington for salary purposes. can add picks here if it makes it more fair.

celtics get hield and take a flyer on bagley. at best they resign him to be the backup center on a cheaper deal, at worst they let him walk. while he is not a defensive player, his defense cannot be worse than freedom.

celtics also getting over 20M in expiring deals which they could use to resign Simons, give grant an extension, and or upgrade the rest of the bench in the offseason. should the celtics want to, it would not be hard to skirt under the tax (probably send out covington or bagley), or use the TPEs they could stil have to make different roster bolstering moves (go higher into the tax). probably sign another cheap pg, or keep broderic thomas (2W) available for many games the rest of the way. celtics pretty bad at using their 2-way players effectively tho so idk bout that.

celtics starters simons - brown - tatum - grant - rob backups pritchard - hield - covington - green/grant williams - bagley/freedom
