My WAY TOO EARLY "my guy" 2022 NBA draft lineup

Making this for 2 reasons; to try and spread the word about some of these prospects early, so people can pay attention to the developmental curve, as well as seeing how much it changes from the start of the draft cycle to the end. If you guys have your own favorite prospects at the moment, comment it down below.

PG: ANDRE CURBELO, 6'1, can't find wingspan but I would guess 6'3-6'4

I first learned about Curbelo when watching film for Ayo Dosunmu and Kofi Cockburn. The way I find a lot of my sleeper picks is when players just jump off the screen when you are scouting their teammates. Cuberlo did just that. He is my early pick for best passer in the draft, just a wizard in the pick and roll. He sees windows and makes people open in ways that most people simply can't. He is listed at 6'1, but watching him play I wouldn't be surprised if he was closer to 6'3. His defense has a lot of tenacity, and he uses his quick hands really well. His shot certainly didn't fall last year, but his form doesn't look broken, and he has great touch around the rim. Everyone, you heard it here first, Curbelo is a guaranteed 1st round pick after he dominates at Illinois this year.

Comparison: Jason Williams, Mike Bibby

Projected range on my board: 15-25

SG: JADEN IVEY, 6'4, 6'7 wingspan (wouldn't be surprised if this is outdated, he looks bigger)

Jaden Ivey is a dude that I think may get more national hype coming to him soon, but at the moment I feel like one of the leaders of the Ivey bandwagon. After watching Josh Primo getting picked 12, I realized Iveys agent must have sucked BAD, because there is no way that Ivey couldn't at the very minimum get a first round promise. Ivey is an elite defender first and foremost, with the ability to lock up 1-3 (maybe smaller threes). Great quick hands, awesome anticipatory abilities, and crazy long arms. Dude is a bulldog on that end. On the offensive side, his first step really stands out. He doesn't need a huge array of moves (although he has a very underrated bag), because the defenders just cannot stick with him. He has a solid mid range jumper, great at finishing at the rim, and can run a pick and roll. I can for sure see him being an offensive engine, while being a huge + on defense. With him having his own team this year, watch out.

Comparison: Clyde Drexler, worse on O and better on D

Projected range on my board: 1-5

SF: TAEVION KINSEY, 6'6, can't find wingspan but looks 6'10 ish

Taevion was one of my guys early last year before he withdrew from the draft. The first thing you notice with Taevion is his insane functional athleticism. In comparison to a Greg Brown, every part of Taevions game is highlighted by his athleticism; his first step, his defense, his cutting, his finishing, his transition game. His first step rivals Jaden Iveys that I described above. His defense is solid as well, guarding 1-3. Actually very similar to Ivey, but a fair bit older and a better shooter at this moment. He is a pure scorer at heart, with the ability to hit movement shots and cut to the paint (one of the best cutters in the draft).

Comparison: Prime time Victor Oladipo

Projected range on my board: 15-25

PF: NIKOLA JOVIC, 6'10, 7'2 wingspan

My favorite international prospect in the class as of right now. His strengths include his passing, all around scoring package, and defensive potential. He has great feel for the game for someone so young and so big, which pops especially in transition. He isn't an elite pick and roll ball handler at the moment but I can for sure see that developing into a strength of his. He doesn't hit the most difficult passes, but his passes are functional and effective. His scoring directly emulates a Jayson Tatum. Great difficult mid range shot making, gets a fair bit of space on his step backs and dribble moves. He has great touch in the paint, and can hit threes moving off of screens. His defense, while not exceptional at the moment, shows a lot of promise. He is a solid help side rim protector, and his feet aren't slow by any means, but his effort isn't ideal at the moment. Not a great quick first step, but everything else coming together into this 6'10 package with a +4 or 5 wingspan is too much to pass up.

Comparison: Detlef Schremph with + creation

Projected range on my board: 3-6

C: YANNICK NZOSA, 7'0, 7'6 wingspan

My second favorite international prospect in the class as of right now. This dude kind of reminds me of an international Kai Jones, and I was maybe the biggest Kai Jones fan on Fanspo. He is incredibly mobile for a big man, all of his movements are so fluid, on defense and on offense. First off though, his defense. He absolutely shuts down the paint. His ground coverage is the best in the class by a fair bit, and his defensive IQ has to be up there with the Holmgrens and Durens. He is super switchable on the perimeter, which is insane for someone that size. Now, for the more hypothetical strengths. He has some rebound and run potential, his dribbling is super pure for someone that big. He has shown some ability to take slower footer bigs off the dribble, and I am cautiously optimistic about his shooting due to flashes and the great touch he has around the rim. Watch out for Yannick.

Comparison: Clint Capela with a splash of Christian Wood

Projected range on my board: 3-6

Other guys I like

PG: Vrenz Bleijengerh: Not a traditional PG obviously, but this draft is weak at point guard and I need to spread Vrenz propaganda. Great passer, solid shooter, great defensive instincts. This is the year for Vrenz. MY BB RANGE: 20-30

SG: AJ Griffin: Really like him as a prospect, not sure about the health. Can score in the mid range, awesome defender, freakish athlete. See him battling for the #1 pick if all goes well. Big draft range on my board due to injuries. MY BB RANGE: 1-8

SF: Bennedict Mathurin: Elite scoring prospect, on or off the ball. Good defender, may be a good shooter (last year could've been a fluke), good athlete. Not a ton of holes in his game. MY BB RANGE: 8-14

PF: Daimion Collins: Very well could be the next JT Thor. Long arms, good defender on the perimeter, solid jump shot, good athleticism. The flaw is that he is a small trapped in a bigs body, but that could make him a bit of a tweener. Very excited for him though. MY BB RANGE: 8-14

C: Walker Kessler: A guy that I am pretty positive can be a solid role player in the NBA. Good touch around the rim, intimidating presence, can post up, solid passer. Not a lot of holes, I see him as a bit more mobile Brook Lopez. MY BB RANGE: 15-25

What do you guys think? None of these are set in stone, obviously
