Nuggets: the Nuggets' main weakness these playoffs was perimeter defense. Even though they weren't healthy, Murray and MPJ weren't going to help on that end, so they need to make moves that help improve that area. This trade gives them 2 Good defenders that can also shoot the ball well. You do part ways with Monte Morris, but that would open up minutes for Hyland Bones who has shown great potential, and you also have Murray coming back. Barton would be trading for KCP for salary reasons and they attach the #21 Pick to entice the deal. The final lineup would have one of them be in the lineup and one on the bench.

Murray, KCP/O'neal, MPJ, Gordon, Jokic

That's a really good lineup with a mixture of Defense, shooting, and overall offense.

Wizards: A young team headed into a rebuild. This trade would give them the #21 pick which is good for a solid role player in KCP. They also get Barton who can possibly add more value as the season progresses. If Wizards don't like their spot in the draft, they can use #21 to move up as well.

Jazz: Assuming they start to settle in a rebuild, this trade sets them off well. They trade a good 29-years old role player for a 3 years younger good role player. This is more of a lateral move but still gets them some years back.
