WHY THUNDER DO IT:

Their Detroit pick is pretected 1-16 in 2022, 1-18 in 2023, 1-18 in 2024, 1-13 in 2025, 1-11 in 2026 and 1-9 in 2027.

With the new deal they get 2024 UNPROTECTED Pistons pick for Suns' late first

WHY KINGS DO IT:

Bagley, Hield, Mitchell and a pick for Grant and Graham and Olynyk.

Starting 5: Fox, Haliburton, Barnes, Grant, Holmes + 6-7th men Graham, Olynyk.

WHY PISTONS DO IT:

They bet on the dream duo: Cade + Zion. They also try the Bagley bet. They pay with 1 high lottery pick, a 2024 pick, 2 swaps, Grant and Olynyk.

WHY PELICANS DO IT:

They are sure to get Paolo/Chet (and more if they will be lucky and won't need a trade up): they have their own pick, Pistons pick, Kings pick, Suns pick.

2022-23 Starting 5: Mitchell, Hield, Ingram, Paolo/Chet, Valanciunas

The question is: are Chet/Paolo + Mitchell + Suns pick and swaps worth Zion (who's often injured or out of shape)?
