With Collin Sexton as their only impending free agent and the last pick in the lottery of this years draft, it’ll be interesting to see what the Cavaliers decide to do with this off-season. It is clear that they have a solid young core but could use another piece to really make some noise.
NBA DRAFT
With the 14th overall pick, the Cleveland Cavaliers select… Jaden Hardy
Cleveland decides to add wing-depth here with a high upside player, to say the least. If Hardy is able to play like he did in high school with less of a role on an NBA team, this could end up being a very good pick for the Cavs at the end of the lottery.
TRADE WITH PACERS
Cavaliers receive: Malcolm Brogdon
Pacers receive: Collin Sexton (S&T), Dean Wade, and two second round picks
These familiar trade partners make another deal since they are clearly heading in different directions. Cleveland gets a do-it-all glue guy in Brogdon who can take some pressure off Garland. Indiana gets younger and adds two guys who can be parts of their future and help them tank.
FREE AGENCY
Sign Ricky Rubio to a two-year deal
The Cavaliers bring back one of their top contributors off the bench last season after he helped them acquire LeVert.
ROTATION
