Comment Opinions Please. Is This Good? Read The Full Description As All The Trade Details, Draft Picks, & Free Agent Signings Are There.

1. Hire Terry Stotts As The New Head Coach

Why ?: He’s an experienced coach that has taken his former team to the playoffs multiple times & to the conference finals once. Stotts did great things with Lillard & I believe he can do the same with Mitchell.

2. Trade Rudy Gobert To The Portland Trail Blazers For Josh Hart, 2022 1st(#7), & 2025 MIL 1st

Why ?: The 7th pick in the upcoming draft gives Utah the chance to select someone to grow alongside Mitchell & be a solid long term fit. Then they also get a nice rotational player in Hart to provide nice minutes.

3. Send Mike Conley & Udoka Azubuike To The Washington Wizards For Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Rui Hachimura, & 2023 BOS 2nd

Why ?: Main reason is perimeter defense. KCP is a good 3 & D player that can either start alongside Mitchell or come off the bench & provide a spark.

4. Deal Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Rui Hachimura, 2025 MIL 1st, & 2026 MEM 2nd To The Detroit Pistons For Jerami Grant

Why ?: If you’re giving up an elite defender in Rudy Gobert, then you’ve got to somehow how replace him with someone that can play both sides of the ball. Grant would be a perfect option for Utah & gives them another nice defensive piece around Mitchell.

5. Dump Rudy Gay & Juancho Hernangomez Along With 2023 BOS 2nd To The Indiana Pacers

Why ?: In order to save money, get comfortably under the tax, & be able to use the full non-tax MLE.

6. Draft Bennedict Mathurin(SG, 6’6 210) With The #7 Pick In The 2022 NBA Draft

Why ?: Mathurin would be a great fit next to Mitchell at the two due to his ability to play off the ball & shoot well from anywhere. Defensively, he’s all ready pretty good & has potential to be a lockdown defender.

7. Sign Mitchell Robinson To A Three Year Contract Worth $36 Million

Why ?: One 7 footer exits the door, another enters. Robinson would be an excellent replacement at the center position as he is a good rebounder, nice rim protector, & fits the Mitchell timeline.

8. Resign Hassan Whiteside To A One Year Deal Worth The Minimum

Why ?: Whiteside played well with the minutes he was given this season behind Gobert, so the Jazz should look to keep him & also allocate more playing time to him.

9. Resign Eric Paschall To A One Year Deal Worth The Minimum

Why ?: He’s still only 25 & can maybe carve out a role in the rotation.

10. Resign Danuel House To A One Year Deal Worth The Minimum

Why ?: A nice veteran 3 & D player to come off the bench.

11. Sign Tony Snell To A One Year Deal Worth The Minimum

Why ?: A nice veteran 3 & D player to come off the bench.

12. Sign Robin Lopez To A One Year Deal Worth The Minimum

Why ?: To add big man depth behind Robinson & Whiteside for security.

——————————————————

Jazz Ideal Starting Lineup:

Mitchell, Mathurin, Hart, Grant, & Robinson

Backup Five:

Clarkson, Pope, Bogdanovic, O’Neale, & Whiteside

Rest Of Bench:

Butler, Snell, House Jr, Paschall, & Lopez

Two Way Players/G-League:

Izaiah Brockington & Tyrese Martin

——————————————————

Why Portland Does This?

• They land their All-Star & elite rim protector in Rudy Gobert to help Dame compete for a title. Obviously they’ll need to make a couple more moves using Bledsoe, their young players, Nurkic, & trade exception to build the best possible squad around Lillard & Gobert.

——————————————————

Why Washington Does This?

• In order to create a solid backcourt that can help them compete for a playoff spot. Conley would be a nice addition at a cheap cost to a team that already has Beal, Porzingis, & the 10th pick to work with.

——————————————————

Why Detroit Does This?

• Two young players & a future unprotected 1st. That’s an excellent package for Grant in my opinion. NAW & Hachimura are great rotational players to have that can potentially earn a starting role early in the season.

——————————————————

Why Indiana Does This?

• They receive a future 2nd for taking on a couple of contracts. Rudy Gay & Hernangomez can probably be flipped to contenders for even more draft compensation to give Indiana the best possible deal.
