Hawks Give: John Collins, Clint Capela, 2023 FRP, 2024 FRP, 2029 FRP (Lottery-Protected)
Hawks Receive: Pascal Siakam, Coby White
Starting Lineup: Young-Murray-Hunter-Siakam-Okongwu
Bench: White-Bogdanovic-J. Holiday-Harkless-Kaminsky
Rest: A. Holiday, AJ Griffin, Tyrese Martin, Trent Forrest
Note: Coby White or Aaron Holiday as the backup PG is a tossup. I think it will be Holiday to start the year, but then White will take over the role and excel.
Also, a Big 3 of Young, Murray, and Siakam would be ridiculous and make Atlanta a title favorite, especially if Hunter and Okongwu develop. And by moving Capela, Okongwu finally gets to start and receives the minutes he deserves.
Raptors Give: Pascal Siakam
Raptors Get: John Collins, Myles Turner, 2023 FRP (via Portland through Chicago), 2024 FRP (via Atlanta), 2029 FRP (Lottery-Protected via Atlanta)
Note: The Portland pick should allow the Raptors to continue to stack their team with youth, and John Collins fits really well with Turner, who solves their center problem. If the Raptors really want to build around Scottie Barnes, they should do this to set a plan and get out of middle-of-the-pack purgatory.
Pacers Give: Myles Turner
Pacers Get: Nikola Vucevic, Jalen Johnson, 2023 FRP (via Atlanta)
Note: The Vucevic contract is expiring and will free up a lot of cap space for a tanking team. Also, the Pacers could fill the center spot with Wembaryama. Getting a talented project in Jalen Johnson with star potential and a FRP is a great return for parting with Turner.
Bulls Give: Vucevic, Coby White, 2023 FRP (via Portland)
Bulls Get: Clint Capela
Note: Massive win for the Bulls. They get a top defensive and rebounding center to add to their playoff push and get off two player’s contracts they don’t want.
