Breakdown:

  • Cavs trade: Collin Sexton, Jarrett Allen, Ricky Rubio, Cedi Osman, Kevin Love, Damyean Dotson, Dean Wade, Lauri Markkanen

  • Cavs receive: Christian Wood, Derrick White, Devin Vassell, John Wall, Thaddeus Young, and Danuel House Jr.

  • Rockets trade: Christian Wood, John Wall, Danuel House, and Eric Gordon

  • Rockets receive: Kevin Love, Ricky Rubio, Jarrett Allen, Al-Farouq Aminu, Damyean Dotson

  • Spurs trade: Derrick White, Devin Vassell, Al-Farouq Aminu, Thaddeus Young

  • Spurs receive: Lauri Markkanen, Collin Sexton, Cedi Osman, Eric Gordon, Dean Wade

Cavs:

Their roster has so many clunky fits, and this helps a lot with it, while keeping their core and staying relatively young. They get Derrick White, who can start at SG and doesn't need the ball too much. Christian Wood can play PF or C, which allows Evan Mobley to start at C instead, and also Wood is a good floor spacer and a solid defender. They also get Thaddeus Young, who can be their backup big and help mentor the younger guys. Devin Vassell can play at the 3 as well as the two, so he can get a reasonable role. Danuel House can be a solid three and d player off the bench, and John Wall can be their backup PG.

Rockets:

The Rockets get rid of their two worst contracts in John Wall and Kevin Love and get some long-term salary relief, and also get Jarrett Allen. Rubio's contract is expiring after the season ends, and Love's contract is about 13 million less than Wall's contract. With the 5 million more for Allen's contract, the Rockets gain about 25 million in cap relief in 2022-2023 without giving up any draft capital or young guys.

Spurs:

The Spurs get more youth on their roster, and also pick up players that can help open minutes for the young guys. Collin Sexton can pick up most of Murray's backup minutes, and he can get more touches, Eric Gordon could be bought out/traded, Lauri Markannen gives the Spurs more quality big men, Dean Wade can be used for depth at PF, and Cedi Osman can be traded/bought out as well.
