Celtics

This moves makes getting under the tax a little easier for the Celtics. It gives them a starting PG for their future and gets some value from Schroder.

Mavericks

Brunson is expiring and isn't an RFA, so they could lose him for nothing in FA. They get a couple of guys who could play PG. One for now and one for the future. PP could become a weapon with the right play-maker to capitalize on his shooting, (Doncic). Obviously the real value is the 1st rounder, but with the lottery protection it's a gamble with how the C's are playing.

Overall

Most likely worth it for the C's if Brunson re-signs, even if the pick does convey. Probably not worth it for the Mavs if the pick doesn't convey.
