The Pelicans have to be the team with the most upside when you take in account roster and future draft capital. We all know about how many future firsts the Thunder and Sam Presti own but seem to forget the amount of firsts the Pelicans and Trajan Langdon have that are very valuable because they have the Lakers firsts for 2 more years due to the Anthony Davis trade. Then on top of that, they have all of the Bucks future picks from the Jrue Holiday trade. The Pelicans become the favorites in the West by trading for Kevin Durant and will still have more firsts so they can build in future or fill out their roster entirely around new core of McColloum Jones Durant Zion and Turner. The Pacers get a first round pick for Myles Turner who they seem to always have looming around the trade block so clearly they would be okay with letting him go as this helps them tank so their own pick can become more valuable. The Nets however, get a pick that will be apart the Victor Wembanyama sweepstakes due to the Lakers likely missing the playoffs and will also have the Lakers first rounder next season along with those 2 picks they get 2 more picks from NOLA with Brandon Ingram who is a player who although he may not be prime Kevin Durant he has a similar play style and has grown to become a better player every season and is already an All-Star. Jonas Valancinunas also helps Brooklyn with having a quality starter at center hwho can help them stay competitive due to them having no intentions on losing since the Houston Rockets own their picks for the future.
