The Mavericks decide to go for it by filling the two biggest weak spots in their lineup with former All-Stars DeMar DeRozan who'll take the SF spot and Nikola Vucevic who will take over as the starting center. the veratile Javonte Green will help off the bench at the wing spots and Tony Bradley gives the team a vet big man to provide depth

The Bulls start looking for the future by unloading two veteran players for a package of solid vets with expiring contracts, intriguing prospects and picks/swaps. The prize player wise for the Bulls is 21 year old wing man Josh Green who should really take off with an expanded role in Chicago. Former top prospect Jalen Hardy was also acquired and should get a chance for playing time at some point. Christian Wood, Reggie Bullock & C Dwight Powell are all candidates to be flipped again for future assets before the deadline. Bulls would release Marco Simonovic to get roster down to 15 players
