(This trade is possible the end of the first week in January and Fanspo has yet to update the site for Kuminga's new contract.)
Some fool's trade did not work as Kuminga already has a 2-year contract and he did not know the first year value. His trade did not work as it was half a million short due to his lack of knowledge of Kuminga's current 2025-2026 pay. So, another player from GS would have to be included and that would almost assuredly be Santos, even though GS would be hard pressed to part with him without the Bulls adding in 2 more SRPs to this deal. But, for the similarity of it, I will add Santos, but refer back to not having Santos in the deal for comparison.
So, since Kuminga now has a 2-year contract, is still playing very well, has been taken under the wing of Jimmy Butler, is starting/finishing games, and possibly really does not want to be traded from GS... now that this other proposer is CRAVING for Kuminmga when he has been hating on him this year when I was specifically stating.... some team (and it should have been the Bulls, Kings, Nets, Wizards, etc.) is possibly going to get an extremely great bargain in a Kuminga trade right now that they will not be able to get close to if Kuminga inks anything more than a 1-year qualifying offer. Well, the real cost is likely now this... and that does not include the 2 SRPs for Santos the Bulls would have to add in.
Wow... the hate you spewed against Kuminga, myself, and others when we were stating the Bulls should acquire Kuminga... next time keep the comments reasonable and not so seriously offensive! You have a lot to learn in life! We all like Vuc, but he is merely a debt to the Bulls until his contract expires. Do the Bulls really want to win? Who knows the real answer. But, we all know that NO TEAM has made an official reported offer of even a SRP for Vuc due to his contract, defensive and movement issues. Teams just do not have any money or real trade pieces to make such a deal happen. Yes, Vuc still has some play in him, but the contract price is too high in a tight financial league and Vuc usually only does well versus the JV east teams. We all saw what happened to Vuc when he was lit-up by the West teams right before the Trade Deadline last season. Post went off so well, twice in a week, that the Warriors promoted Post from a 2-way contract immediately. No other team was interested after that West coast swing. Playing well in the JV East does not always translate well for players going to playoff teams where they will not have half the shot opportunities they gat on lesser teams. I cannot wait until some contending team gets Vuc for a SRP, or the Bulls buy him out and Vuc gets a real chance at a ring. The Bulls owe Vuc that IMO!
