Rational Behind the trades

  • Bulls: They swap Vuc, who underperformed defensively, and White, who is in a crowded PG rotation with Lonzo and Caruso for Gobert who gives their defence a much needed boost.

  • Jazz: After another early playoff exit, they blow it up. Rumours have it Mitchell has said he wants to play in Atlanta. Gobert needs a system change. Utah gets some nice young pieces and draft capital for the future.

  • Hawks: After a disappointing 2022 the hawks blow it up, but better? They take AD for john collins, salary and picks and Mitchell for huerter, hunter and picks. This leaves them with a starting 5 of Young Mitchell Bogdanovic Davis and Capela. That 5 will be a contender in a packed eastern conference.

  • Lakers: 11th seed isnt good enough and Lebron wants a change. This isnt the only trade I see the lakers making, if they can theyll try ship out Westbrook too. Collins and Lebron and whatever that draft capital can bring them should do better than 11th.
