TRADE BREAKDOWN:

Blazers give: CJ to the Mavs for Powell, Kleber, DFS and Burke

Then a 3 team trade,

Blazers give: 1st, 2 seconds, Nurkic, Simons

To get Dillion Brooks and Tyus Jones

Then the Grizzlies would get: Cam Reddish, Jusef Nurkic andAnfernee ISmons

And then the Hawks would get 1 first and 2 seconds for Cam Reddish.

Below is the reasoning for this trade.

Mavs: They'd be buying low on CJ. This is a opportunity to get their second scorer behind Luka, and CJ would be great for them. He can shoot and score and for the price for Powell, filler, Burke, not too important, Kleber and Finny Smith, they'd be saying yes.

Hawks: Save money and get roster flexibility. They already have Hunter, their future 3 and need to choose how to allocate money with potential extensions to Reddish, Huerter and Hunter. They just extended Capela, and having 2 max players with having a 20 million dollar player, Hunter who should be that and then having Bogdanovich and there cap situation would be tough. Trading Reddish would help with that. They have to choose between him and Huerter, and I think they keep Huerter due to his amazing playoff performance, Reddish has a good game, but still it doesn't compare to Huerter.

Grizzlies: Add a solid 5 and a couple solid young players. Might want like a couple seconds but pretty solid for them.

Blazers: Looking on it on paper, they say no. There giving a young player AND picks and CJ is a great player and much better then all of these players. However, they should say yes, this trade gets them better because you got Kleber who is a upgrade over Nurkic due to fit and his ability to stretch the floor. The Dame-CJ-Powell is horrible on D, and leaves a undersized roster. They add needed depth as their wings a guard depth isnt good, and addd a ok backup 5. This gets them a good deal better, therefore its worth it. They also get rid of CJ's bad contract.
