Hornets - They give up 2 young pieces along with a couple picks to fix their big man problem. Wood is still 26 and under contract for 2 more years so he fits alongside LaMelo and they would form an elite P&R duo. I think in general Melo would benefit hugely from having a good 5 to play with.

Rockets - They get what is a solid return for Wood in former lottery pick Bouknight, promising young big man VCJ and draft capital. This trade allows Sengun to flourish in the starting Center role. I see Bouknight playing an elite scoring sixth man in the future.
