The Jazz who are off to a surprising 9-3 start and currently rank as the #1 seed in the West decide to go all in on making a playoff run this season by picking up Myles Turner from the Pacers.
Turner would give the Jazz a dynamic defender and paint protector to upgrade the teams interior defense. With Turner on board Kelly Olynyk could slide back into his familiar 6th man role where his shooting skills will help space the floor for the second unit and his lack of quickness/rim protection will not be as detrimental. McConnell would give them a sold vet PG in reserve if something were to happen to Conley. At only 26 years old Turner could be a long term piece of the Jazz's new core.
JAZZ DEPTH CHART AFTER TRADE
The Pacers are in a full on rebuild and with this trade would add another #1 pick in what is expected to be a loaded 2023 draft along with a intriguing mix of young talent they can take a look at for the rest of the season while they race to the bottom of the standings for a shot at Victor Wenbamyama, The only guaranteed salary beyond this season the Pacers would be taking on is from Horton-Tucker, but that will be mitigated by unloading McConnell and his contract to Utah.
The 2023 #1 pick INDY would acquire is the least favorable pick between HOU/PHI/BKLN
INDY would release James Johnson & Oshae Brissett to clear roster space for the new players.
