Portland:

They get a great defensive center and fix their chemistry. It hurts to lose Simons, but is worth the cost. This trade will immediately get them into the playoffs.

Indiana:

Turner never really fit on their roster. So, trading him for an elite package is favorable. Simons is a cold hearted killer who is only 22 years old. He is a great piece to build around. With him the Pacers can contend both now, and in the future.
