Augustine and Theis were brought in as vets to help fill in gaps for the young guys. But they've been pretty horrible so far. Augustine especially hasn't really been able to contribute when he's been on the court, looking more to score than distribute. Theis is good in paper, but his fit next to Wood hasn't been as good as Sengun next to Wood, and should be the starting front court going forward. Swapping Wall for Love is a kind of win win. Love's second year is cheaper, so if they work towards a buyout or sit him next year it won't be as bad as doing the same with Wall (financially), and Love had a good relationship with KPJ back with the Cavs. Rubio helps as a more traditional PG while KPJ is still finding his feet in that role.

Talked to death. PG can't do it on his own (though he's giving it a go for sure) until Kawhi gets back. Move some dead contracts and hope Wall signs a longer cheaper deal after declining his PO next year.

Finally part ways with Love. Lose Rubio but get Bledsoe as a backup PG, Kennard as a flamethrower off the bench and House who helps fill a wing need. Zubac will be one of the best bench big men in the league. I personally have never really bought into him being a starting calibre big, but that may be just me. Giving up 2 2nds is the price they pay to get younger and get off their "albatross" contract.
