YTADE BREAKDOWNL:

Pacers trade; Turner, Holiday, Jackson and 3 unprotected FRPs for Myles Turner,

Then Philly trades Turner to NYK for Robinson, Toppin in 2 FRPs (ONE OF THEM IS PROTECTED),

THen Philly trades Robinson, Toppin, Jackson and 3 FRPs for Dejounte Murray

End resul for Philly:

Dejounte, 2 1sts, Justin Holiday, and Alec Burks for Ben Simmons,

So, I'm going to get in to how this makes the pacers actual contenders,

PACERS:

So, this is for Raptorsfan challenge, and, the challenge is to make the pacers blow it up, or, to compete. After thinking about what I wanted to do, I decided to compete. So, a couple ideas ran into my mind, like a Brown for Sabonis + a good deal more, or a Brogdon for Simmons, or Turner, Warren for Simmons in a 3 team trade. So then, I realized why not a Dejounte for Ben trade? I already had my Turner valuation from before, Toppin, Robinson and 2 FRPs one of them protected I decided was fair and they'd do that, and for the Pacers, well, its knows that they get Simmons. So, why does this make Indy compete? LeVert-Brogdon-Warren-Simmonds-Sabonis, simple as that. McConnell-Duarte- Lamb-Brisette-Goga. Simple as that, this trade gets them a elite starting 5 with 4 guys who can score real well, they can combine for like 80-85 with 30 ish points from the bench. This trade would get them the offense they need, 4 guys who can score real with with Ben, Duarte, Brisette and Lamb so a [owerful offense. For defense? They'd still have nearly the same defense, because they'd be losing Turner and Holiday, and getting Simmons, which keeps their D a little worse. However, because they wouldn't be as deep, they'd be giving TJ McConnell more time, and with having better fits without Turner for defense, there defense would overall get better. Sabonis can defend the paint which he isnt good at doing, however, much better then the perimeter. They'd have a switchable and versatile defense, and, Duarte who should be good at that end. The Pacers would be championship contenders because they would have a lethal starting 5 of Brogdon, LeVert, warren, Ben and Sabonis which gives them much better fit and better offense.

So, for why each team does it,

SAS: For the Spurs, this gets them 3 firsts and 3 young players. You get Toppin, the former 8 pick with Robinson, Isiah Jackson and 3 firsts. Jackson was a 1st round pick of this past draft. Toppin has shown the ability to be a very good backup, and, can score the ball and getting better. He was a high pick, and, he has a lot of potential which the Spurs could unleash in him. The Spurs are even lacking fromtcourt besides really Keldon Johnson, so, getting a reliable 4 would be good for them, and, because they are weak at the position that Toppin plays, he should get plenty of opportunity. Robinson Is a solid 5 who would help Poetle. He is a solid backup 5. The Pacers would be getting help in their frontocurt, a position of need wit 3 FRPs. this is good value for Dejounte, and good value that they should take.

KNICKS: NYK has interest in Turner for good reason, and, their defense hasn't been good. Last year, the Pacers were 4 points better defensively with Myles Turner than without Turner. Thats a lot of defensive impact for one person. The Knicks dont have a good defense this year, their 110.4 defensive rating according to statues was worse then every team besides 5 teams. That means that their defense was 24th. If Turner had the same 4 point impact defensively, then, they would have had a 106 defensive rating, tied for the 13th best defensive rating according to statmuse. Although Mitchell Robinson is a good defender, he doesnt hav even close to the same impact as Turner, and, offensively, they are the same pretty much. Turner gets them much better defense which they are lacking, and, is clearly better then Robinson. The Knicks need defense, then have offense in Kemba, Fournier, Barrett, Randle, Quickly, however, are lacking defense. This gets them the D that they need at a fair price.

76ERS: For the 76ers, its simple. They get Dejounte Murray who would actually play and is similar the ben simmons. He can defend, pass, rebound and score, even better, and, is also a big guard This keeps some of the size with the team with someone who costs half the money, and, is cheaper, and, they get a couple solid role players I addition. Burks and Holiday would both be solid additions to their bench, and, the 76ers would get good value, they should do this.
