Celtics Lose most of their best players + all tradeable draft picks for a completely new starting 5. C's just need to fill out the bench and they have a contending team imo:
Simmons
Beal
Tatum
Barnes
Timelord
76ers Get Jaylen Brown for Simmons + 2 first rounders. Probably not fair value for the 76ers, but I've seen 76ers fans proposing Simmons + 3 first rounders for Brown, so idk. You might be able to get away with just 1 first rounder though, depending on what the Kings would want.
Kings Harrison Barnes for 3 first rounders + filler + Nesmith who has potential, but relatively low trade value. You might be able to get away with 2 first rounders and the Sixers being able to keep 1 first rounder.
Mavericks Smart for 1 first rounder + filler. Mavs get some added defensive punch to pair next to Doncic in the back-court. Smart will always take the toughest offensive option.
Wizards Beal for 4 first rounders + Horford, (who is only partially guaranteed next year). Beal is an expiring contract and will be owed a lot of money next year. I don't think the Wiz want to pay that, but the C's would.
Overall I think this could build a contender for the Celtics, despite them moving on from a lot of their players/draft assets. I think the 76ers might be giving up too much here and you might be able to convince the Kings to take 2 first rounders instead of 3 for Barnes. Imo, C's would also be willing to add Langford + 2nd rounders to make things better for the Kings, if the Sixers want to only send 1 first rounder.
This deal isn't happening, but it's fun experimenting. What do you think needs to change for this deal to be fair in value for all teams?
