These are three separate trades.
The trades involving Dedmon and Martin happen at the trade deadline.
Trade One:
Miami Heat Recieve: Reddish
New York Knicks Recieve: Mitchell, Beasley
Utah Jazz Recieve: Fournier, Robinson, Grimes, Toppin, Rose, 3 first round picks from other teams first that the knicks hold, 2 of the knicks first round picks, 1 first round pick from the heat, and 2 second round picks from the heat
Why each team does this trade:
Miami Heat- They get a position of need who is a young power forward who I feel like would blossom in the heat's system.
New Yorks Knicks- They get help from the heat in the form of picks that go to the Jazz. This trade helps them by letting the knicks trade two of their own picks. This trade also gets them two players that they have been linked to before in the past in Mitchell and Beasley.
Utah Jazz- They get the young players from the knicks they wanted and 8 total picks. 6 first round picks and 2 seconds for Donovan Mitchell and Beasley.
Trade Two:
Miami Heat Recieve: Barnes
Sacromento Kings Recieve: Martin, Highsmith
Why each team does this:
Miami Heat- They get a cheap scorer to put alongside Jimmy Butler and relieve some of the offensive stress Jimmy was put through in the playoffs.
Sacromento Kings- They get a young player that is on a cheaper and longer deal for Barnes. They also get a good young backup small/power forward who is on a minimum deal for two years.
Trade Three:
Miami Heat Recieve: Bamba
Orlando Magic Recieve: Yurtseven, Dedmon, and One first round pick from the heat
Why each team does this:
Miami Heat- They get a younger big that can help them win now and in the future. Bamba helps the heat in a couple of areas they struggled in the playoffs in interior defense and rebounding. With Bamba the heat can also expierment with a lineup where bam and jimmy are playing with a big that can stretch the floor.
Orlando Magic- They get a cheaper center that is the same age as Bamba. The magic would be able to sign Yurtseven to a longer cheaper deal next offseason then Bamba ultimately saving them money in the long run. Yurtseven has the same skill set as Bamba but just not on the same level. Yurtseven has shown potential in stretching the floor, rebounding, paint defense, and scoring in the post. If given the oppurtunity I think Yurtseven can eventually be on the same level as bamba or a little bit better but on a cheaper and longer deal then Bamba. Dedmon is here for salary filler and can be flipped in the offseason for picks to a contending team.
Additional Moves:
Heat sign Garrett to a two year minimum deal
Heat sign Darius Days to a two year minimum deal
