This is an interesting idea that I originally came up with from a mock draft where Ivey went third to the Rockets which left Banchero on the board at pick four. However, I think the Pacers could also move up to take Ivey.

Why the Kings should trade down: Sacramento is in an interesting position where they are clearly a bad team after several missed playoffs, but they have Fox and Sabonis plus some solid role players and should be looking to end that drought ASAP. Having the opportunity to add another “star” in a trade down could be very beneficial for them. I also don’t think that Banchero would do well as a third or fourth option on a team and would be labeled a bust. In this situation, I believe that the Kings would be intrigued at adding Sochan at pick six given his versatile 3&D ability. He would be the perfect power forward for this Kings team and a lineup of Fox-Brogdon-Barnes-Sochan-Sabonis is quite intriguing.

Indiana’s options at pick four: I believe that Banchero would fit tremendously on the Pacers. He would immediately become their second option on offense and would have the opportunity to do all that he did for Duke. Having Turner alongside him in the frontcourt on defense sounds nearly perfect and so I’d really like to see Indiana move up. Ivey would also be solid having him stay in Indiana and form a great backcourt for the future with Halliburton. Either way, the Pacers need to rebuild and getting a top four guy in this draft seems like the way to go.

Third team to move Holmes to: With Ayton’s future in Phoenix up in the air, having them acquire Holmes for something such as Saric and a 2023 second round pick sounds seamless. The Pacers would likely prefer adding the draft capital along with Saric who is on an expiring deal following this next season.

Overall, this is a trade I would really like to see and I would love to hear all of your guys thoughts on it!
