Why Golden State does this: They push their poker chips into the middle of the table to potentially create the most talented starting 5 in league history- Steph, Klay, Hayward, Dray and Sabonis. They keep 14 and Sabonis gives them a post Steph identity.

Why Charlotte does this: They have long coveted a promising center and get one in Wiseman (whose ceiling is higher than Washington's). They swap out the Hayward contract for a similar guy in Wiggins whose deal will end one year sooner. They move back slightly in the draft to help Indiana feel better about moving Sabonis for Washington and 7.

Why Indiana does this: They opt for the defensive identity, which lines up with new coach Rick Carlisle's comments on what his vision for the team is. Washington is a young player who should continue to grow. Pick 7 and 11 can be utilized to draft immediate contributors and offset the sting of losing Sabonis.
