The official expansion draft is fully complete, and it is time to get on the grind of the NBA front office. While some teams have already begun trade discussions (may lead to a tampering violation), many teams haven't started doing anything. Well this is your team to shine as a general manager of a professional sports team. Your goal is to win games, prioritize good culture, and accomplish other achievements to help better your franchise. Different teams might have different goals! For example, I'm not expecting the Pistons to win the championship in this mock. As a bad or mid team you can still do very well in this mock just by making smart moves that better your future. You can have the worst record out of all the teams in this mock and still get a top 10 spot in my rankings. At the end of this mock, I will give a power ranking kind of thing that shows which teams I thought did the best and the worst based on the aforementioned goals. The team the wins the championship may very well get first, but then again if a rebuilding team lands a future superstar to add to their already great young core, they very well may win. There are many different ways that you can go about winning this mock.
With that being said, now is the time to make a roster. Most or maybe all of you guys know how to make a roster. Just search up your team's roster on google and make a post with all of your players and picks. Find all of your future draft picks on the Fanspo draft pick page for your team.
You can get as creative or be as simple with your roster as you want, just make sure you have all of your players and picks. If I see a roster that looks really messy, I can give you tips on how to make it more attractive and if you really need help, I can make your roster for you. Once you are done with your roster, post it down below ⬇️
Trading will be really simple. Trades must be semi realistic (no trading Paolo, etc.) I don't care where you negotiate your deals, just nominate one person in the deal to comment the trade on the official trade post and have the other person comment 'approved' below the trade comment. Most of you guys have all done mocks before and know how to do this. If you're newer and are confused, just look at what everyone else is doing. A trade isn't actually official until I add it to the post. In order to streamline things, please DO NOT comment anything on the official trades post other than official trades.
And one last thing, no trades will be made official by me until after Thanksgiving. Feel free to make your roster and start negotiating though.
