1. Sign & Trade Jalen Brunson To The New York Knicks For Alec Burks, Mitchell Robinson, 2023 DAL 1st, & 2026 MIN 2nd
Why ?: It’s reported that the Knicks are very interested in Jalen Brunson & that they recently hired his father as an assistant coach. Jalen will probably like the money & bigger role he’ll have in New York. So for Dallas, acquiring a franchise center in Robinson, solid scoring guard in Burks, their 2023 1st back, & a future 2nd would be a very good return for Brunson.
2. Send Dwight Powell, Sterling Brown, & 2024 Top 8 Protected 1st To The Houston Rockets For Christian Wood
Why ?: The size & shooting Wood brings to the team would be a huge positive. He can space the floor for Luka & be a nice team defender with his length next to Mitchell Robinson.
3. Deal Tim Hardaway Jr, Davis Bertans, 2026 Top 3 Protected 1st, & 2028 Top 5 Protected 1st To The Chicago Bulls For Zach LaVine In A Sign & Trade Agreement
Why ?: LaVine is the second option Dallas needs next to Luka. His ability to shoot & score the ball from anywhere will take so much pressure off of Doncic & the others when he heads to the bench. Landing a star like LaVine to pair with Luka while also getting rid of two big overpaid contracts for only two future 1sts would easily be a significant win for the Mavericks.
4. Move Trey Burke & 2025 2nd To The San Antonio Spurs For 2022 LAL 2nd(#38)
Why ?: To add another pick in the upcoming draft.
5. Draft Justin Lewis(PF, 6’7 245) With The #26 Pick In The 2022 NBA Draft
Why ?: Lewis is a strong & physical combo forward that can attack the basketball offensively & guard multiple positions well defensively. He’d fit very well in a lineup with Luka.
6. Draft Wendell Moore(SF, 6’6 215) With The #38 Pick In The 2023 NBA Draft
Why ?: Another solid defender that can guard multiple positions & be a great fit around Luka. Moore just needs to be more consistent with his 3pt shot in order to unlock his full potential.

Why New York Does This?
They acquire their franchise point guard at a fair price while keeping their two main players in Barrett & Randle along with the young guys in McBride, Quickley, Grimes, & Toppin. Brunson should be enough to help the Knicks return to the playoffs. I’d probably look to draft Jalen Duren at 11 to replace Mitchell Robinson.

Why Houston Does This?
With the Rockets having the 3rd pick in the upcoming draft & most likely taking a PF like Banchero, it’s probably best to move on from Wood while they can. Dealing him for two expiring contracts & a future 1st would definitely be a smart move. Powell also can provide solid minutes for the time being.

Why Chicago Does This?
This is a great scenario for the Bulls if LaVine decides to walk. Flipping the package they receive from Dallas minus a first to the Magic would be huge win, since they’ll then have a little over $20M in cap space to work with. Next moves I’d make is to draft EJ Liddell at 18 & sign Malik Monk, TJ Warren, & Jusuf Nurkic to add depth to their already talent squad consisting of Ball & DeRozan, giving them an excellent lineup of:
Ball, Monk, DeRozan, Williams, & Vucevic
Caruso, White/Dosunmu, Warren, Liddell, & Nurkic

Why Orlando Does This?
To basically acquire a future lightly protected 1st. Even though Hardaway & Bertans are bad contracts, they do provide 3pt shooting on a Magic team that was second to last in that department. This move also allows Orlando to trade Ross away & potentially get a late 1st or early 2nd from a team in the upcoming draft.
