Reacton to the Cam Reddish Trade
The New York Knicks won the trade. They won the trade because they traded Kevin Knox and a first round pick. They got a player in Cam Reddish who can drop 30 points on any night and has inproved a lot this year. Kevin Knox is on an expiring contract. So the Knicks cam out as winners.
The Hawks do it because they get a good unprotected pick for a player that is extension eligable. They did this trade also because they just gave out 400 million in the offseason for the next 5 years. After Cam Reddish has been emrging as a star for the Hawks the Hawks fear that he will want close to 20 million.
The Knicks do it because the get Cam Reddish for cheap. They trade a unprotected first round pick that could either be late lottery or early non lottery. They get Cam Reddish who improves there defence off the bench. By making this trade this could mean that they could be trading recently signed Evan Fournier. They both play close to the same possion so Fournier could be on the trade block.
