The Hawks are trading a first, three seconds, Bogdan Bogdanovic, and Danilo Gallinari for Thaddeus Young, Derrick White, and Al Farouq-Aminu. They get a great fit next to Trae Young in Derrick White, as he can play shoot well and play great defense next to Trae, and also play a bit of PG. Thaddeus Young can fill Danilo Gallinari's role as a backup PF, and Al Farouq-Aminu can be used as cap filler in case of a blockbuster. Another big thing is that they gain a lot of cap flexibility in the future. Danilo Gallinari is going to be overpaid and still has two more years left, and Bogdanovic has three years left. Derrick White has a slightly longer contract, but he's younger at 26, rather than Bogdanovic's 29. Also, Aminu and Young's contract end after next year, and that money can be used to resign players such as Kevin Huerter, and as a smaller market team, staying under the tax is important, and they can be able to do that here.

The Spurs are trading Derrick White, Thaddeus Young, and Al Farouq-Aminu for Malik Beasley, Danilo Gallinari, and Josh Okogie, and a top 3 protected 1st. They don't need White anymore, as he's old and they have a logjam at SG. Even though this doesn't help much, they are building some more young pieces in Malik Beasley and Josh Okogie. Danilo Gallinari can rebuild his value next year and the Spurs can trade him.

The Timberwolves are trading Malik Beasley and Josh Okogie for Bogdan Bogdanovic and three seconds (OKC's 1st counts as two seconds cause they are going to be in the lottery). Bogdanovic is a better fit in Minnesota than Beasley, as even though they both aren't very good at defense, being decent is better than downright terrible. Josh Okogie hasn't done anything but defense, and he's expendable, plus they get three seconds.
