Honestly don’t know where the Lakers go from here other than trading AD and trying to rebuild around LeBron. Lakers could flip 1-2 of the Knicks picks to unload Westbrook and get another serviceable piece or two.

As for the Knicks, this seems like a lot to give up given AD’s recent performance and injury history, however, if the Lakers decide to move AD, I can’t imagine other teams offering much less than this. Knicks won’t want another Donovan Mitchell situation on their hands, so they may end up overpaying.

I think it improves both lineups for this season and gives them both a new situation going into the 2023-2024 season.
