The Knicks have been in the heart of Mitchell rumors for some time now. Mitchell even threw the first pitch at a minor league game! But, it sounds like the Knicks are intimated by the Jazz’s expectations. So, I believe the Jazz will lower their asking price just enough to make the Knicks do this deal, by adding little protections.

Jazz: It’s obvious it’s rebuilding time for Utah. After getting rid of Gobert, it sounds like the Micthell trade will have more value coming in. So, with this, they acquire 5 FRPs and 3 young players. In addition, they get Fournier, who, while a bad contract, will add better shooting onto this Jazz team and would be a quality player to come off the bench, and even start if needed!

Knicks: Superstar. What the Knicks are missing. They have all the pieces to get one, and remaining pieces to still have a solid team. But, the whole season, they needed a superstar to pair up with Barrett. I believe a backcourt of Brunson and Donovan would be amazing.

Summary: Pairing up Barrett, Brunson, and Mitchell would be great for New stork, and the return for Donovan is perfect for a rebuilding team
