I'll start out by saying any trade (including this one) that sends Obi away from the Knicks physically hurts me. I truly believe he can add to this Knicks team but I also know that he deserves better than to sit behind Randle and get so little playing time. He definitely has something to offer and can be impactful on the right team. And perhaps the Suns are that team! I also know that Randle has honestly be really great this year. I was one of the many fans who wanted to trade him away but at present, there is no justification for doing so, or for giving more minutes to Obi (at least at PF, if only Thibs would actually put some effort to designing an offense and try Obi at the 5). Randle may even make the All-Star roster this year and the team is better with him on it. Now to the team by team breakdown is below.

Knicks: The Knicks bench had been one of their strengths the past couple of seasons but no longer. They definitely need some help and a vet like Crowder could be just the person to give it. He never lacks for effort and can play at either SF or PF. I do have some reservations about adding him to a team with Randle as they have not got along in the past but they're both professionals and you'd hope some actual playing time may tempt Crowder who has yet to see the floor this year. The more important part of this is the 2 FRPs from the Suns. It may seem steep at first but you have to think that the Knicks are only letting Obi go for at least a FRP and if they reportedly want 2 second rounders for Cam, I bumped it up to 2 FRPs as this Suns team is starting to look desperate and is also in need of some young players under contract as they don't have much at the moment. Plus, if the players work out, neither of the picks will be that high.

Suns: The Suns season has fully hit the rocks. After a promising start, the Suns have come down to earth. Chris Paul is finally starting to show his age, Booker is injured (although he was having a fantastic season), Bridges can't create without Paul AND Booker and Ayton is not looking like someone who got a max contract extension. And with Cam Johnson still injured (and he reportedly wanted out after this season anyways since the Suns wouldn't be able to pay him what he wanted) and a bunch of aging or constantly injured vets behind them, this team just looks rough. Obi would give them a player that doesn't need the ball to be effective and can cause havoc on the offensive end. Reddish has never lived up to his potential but he's still a wing with a long wingspan and who can be a solid defender. He can also hit some 3s and get some buckets on his drives as well (although yes he's always been inconsistent). The Suns aren't loaded with talent and are also reportedly hamstrung by needing approval on trades over the league average (10.8 million), it's hard to see them adding anyone else who can make an impact.

Anyways, this is a smaller trade but still interested in everyone's opinion, sound off in the comments!
