Why Rockets do this?

The Rockets wont mind trading their 2024 BKN pick as it ll probably be a very late pick in the draft since its from BKN and mean while they get Montrezl Harrell and a second round pick. Montrezl can be the sixth man of the year candidate in rockets as he can have alot of minutes off the bench in houston and it ll be a good pickup for Houston.

Why Pistons do this?

WIth Kyle Kuzma available in the trade block pistons might be eyeing kuzma in a trade and it ll be a great addition for pistons where Kyle Kuzma and Jerami Grant can form a formidable young duo and saddiq bey acn be a triple threat. so this lineup would be a great young lineup for pistons with alot of size as well.

Why Celtics do this?

With Evan Fournier entering FA it opens up a slot in boston for a guard and KCP might be an underrated addition considering his tough defense and in transition finishing. Marc Gasol can be a really nice pickup for Boston and it ll be a great package for celtics in return for Thompson.

Why Lakers do this?

In this trade the lakers are completely under cap.First of all they would clear cap by giving away Harrell to the rockets and then geting Josh Jackson who can be a nice SG addition to lakers plus lebron gets back his good old friend thompson in return for KCP and Gasol which creates alot of cap space to sign Chris Paul. Chris Paul has already mentioned he is expecting something close to a 3year 100 million deal and the lakers offer a 3 year 94 million deal to him and Chris Paul would be very glad to do it and join the banan boat squad with Lebron. With the 2021 draft pick lakers pickup Sharife Cooper or Charles Bassey or cam thomas depending on whose available.
