Kyrie Irving has demanded a trade out of Brooklyn, per multiple sources, and reports are that Lakers and Jazz were talking trade involving Westbrook recently. This deals with both issues.

Nets move Irving while getting some talent to help them win now, while getting off Simmons contract, at the cost of one FRP this year.

Lakers get Irving but take on Simmons instead of giving Nets a FRP. They also get more shooting and will use Simmons mostly for running the second team and defensive purposes (and he can help them with rebounding, but unless he gets his confidence back, I don't see him as anywhere near a real max player). Perhaps Lakers can rehabilitate Simmons, or perhaps not, but he is the cost of getting Irving and Beasley, without giving up both FRPs.

Jazz pick up two more FRPs and cut long term salary. Westbrook is either moved again, bought out, or just sent him. I don't see him ever actually playing in Utah.
