Hawks:

( 1 ) Required a 1st round draft pick to move John Collins... check.

( 2 ) Trade allow Hawks to save 4M in savings this season with two incoming contracts.

( 3 ) Additional 2nd round draft picks (2021 and 2022) sent to Hawks for additional years of CAP FRIENDLY contracts... DFS 2 yrs and Maxi 3 yrs.

Mavs:

Lose two starters in this trade for an obvious upgrade at PF in Collins (third star and will be a max salary player). This is the only way the Mavs will get Collins signed, just as they added KP via trade and max signing during RS free agency.

I can see the Mavs then making a separate trade to bring in a starting SF... maybe Aaron Gordon from the Magic.

I would rate this trade proposal as a WIN - WIN for both teams... Mavs GM Trade Proposal.
