This draft order is a Tankathon draft lottery sim that I did this morning (1/9). It takes surprisingly long to create a draft order on Fanspo. So, the draft order isn’t rigged, it’s a random sim of the lottery if the season ended today.

A few things to note about how I draft:

1. I’m not big on college basketball. I haven’t really watched these prospects much if at all.

2. Because of this, I won’t have the greatest or longest explanations. This mock draft doesn’t have explanations at all.

3. Because I don’t really know the prospects, I overweigh what I do know and that is team need. I’m less likely to pick the best player available if a team has that position set for the future.

4. I play a lot of Basketball-GM. A lot of my picks are based on who I pick in that game.

5. Some of my old NBA draft hot takes: I would’ve picked Trae first overall and Jalen Brunson in the lottery. Trae carried that Oklahoma team quite far for being the only good player on the team, and I watched a few Villanova games that year and Jalen Brunson was pretty good.
