Does being a GM with a rep of drafting well decrease your chances of making a trade on the draft night?

So I was thinking about this with the recent news that the Raptors interviewed both Mathurin and Daniels in the combine even though they have only an early second. If Ujiri (just as an example) likes one of those guys to the point of making a trade, how would you react if you're the GM receiving the call and knowing that a team with a good history in the draft want to jump to your position to pick a guy?

Would you be less willing to make the trade, wondering which prospect the other team want to take? I mean, if a good scouting system is looking for a player that you have the chance to get, why not to try to get that player for yourself? I think it can actually make it harder for a good GM to trade up, as the other team would probably be more interesed on trying to guess why you want to have that pick.
