Pelicans have always brought Hayes off the bench on limited minutes. I think he's always been so much more than that sort of player and a guy I could really see taking a leap next season. With Valanciunas aging and Hayes still being young. Turner would be the perfect seasoned and playoff ready Defensive stretch big for this team. While Goga Bitadze is very similar to the same playing style as Valanciunas. You aren't losing anything here and only gaining a more Starter ready big in Turner. These guy's and their playing styles being similar, make the perfect swap.

We've always tried to play Turner as a PF. I feel Hayes makes the much better mobile PF/C and would be a young guy that could grow well alongside our young team. He'd also be the perfect stretch guy and lob threat for Haliburton.
