This is a scenario in which everybody can win, but it all depends on those damn lottery balls. If the basketball gods actually decide to cut the Pacers a break and put them in position to draft Jaden Ivey, they’d have such a full backcourt, they’d need to move on from Brogdon.

For the Pelicans, this is an upgrade at the point position by creating a better shooting backcourt around Zion, if he ever returns. They’d be flipping Graham and Nance for Brogdon to team up with McCollum. With Ingram and Zion on the wings and Jonas at center, I think you’re looking at a playoff team.

For Boston, they’d be giving up just a future first for a shot at solving their point guard dilemma. Graham hasn’t put up the same production as he had in Charlotte and could likely use a change of scenery. With a contract that wouldn’t hinder Boston too much, that’s a shot worth taking.

For the Pacers, flipping Brogdon is going to be tough. There isn’t a great market and if you can get the combination of a veteran forward, a 1st round pick, and clearing salary cap space, that’s a win. Plus you’re creating minutes for your young guard rotation of Haliburton, Ivey, Duarte, and Hield.
