We don’t know what the Pacers are, and neither do they. So how about a strong defensive team? Add Simmons and Young to a starting lineup with Turner and Brogdon, and they might be on to something.

For Philly, they don’t have to wait to flip Simmons for Harden in the offseason and keep playing the free agency-sign and trade-flirting game.

San Antonio isn’t using Thad enough and they don’t plan to, as they try to get their younger core minutes. Flipping him for another expiring contract that lowers their cap and nets them a few second round picks isn’t bad.

For Brooklyn, you gain the center you need to compete in the paint come playoff time, and a familiar face who can put up 20 points per night. Just convince Irving to get vaccinated, and that’s a more complete team compared to what they have now.
