WHY DETROIT

The Pistons are clearly Cade Cunningham's team now and as a player who has the potential to be an elite two-way player, what better teammate at point guard than the evolving Dejounte Murray? Murray is a former all-defensive team player who arguably was robbed last year of making another team. He's also a triple-double threat. Consider that they also add Boucher who is another player with eliter defensive skills and was also shooting 3 pointers very well last year before his decline this season. Bagley is a player who has needed new scenery for a couple of years now. With him being moved to Detroit, which has been linked to him this year, he has the chance to salvage any reputation ruined in Sacramento. The Pistons actually need his rebounding as well. The truth is that Jerami Grant isn't a true Power Forward and the Pistons need someone who can play alongside Isaiah Stewart while allowing him to play undersized at center. Both Boucher and Bagley can play with Isaiah Stewart. Resigning them would be no problem at all for Detroit as well being that hey have the most cap space next year.

Potential Starting Lineup: Dejounte Murray, Cade Cunningham, Saddiq Bey, Chris Boucher, Isaiah Stewart

WHY SPURS

If you want to know what DeAaron Fox unlocked would look like, look no further than Greg Popovich. For all that Coach Pop has done with Tony Parker, imagine if Tony Parker was more athletic and better defensively. This is what I believe Fox could and would be in San Antonio as they make a change and add some experience. Along with Fox, the Spurs are getting a player who Coach Popovich raved about during the last Olympics. When asked about Jerami Grant this past summer, Popovich said "I wanted him on this team". This goes to show how much he'd love to have him. The Spurs could easily build their future around the Fox/Johnson/Grant trio and a fire could truly be lit in regard to their future through this trade. Make no mistake about it, Jerami Grant didn't make the Olympic team by being a slouch. Though they lose two 1 rounders and a pick swap in 2023, I think this is quite considerable for the Spurs to do. Out of every player involved in this trade, they are without a doubt getting 2 of the best 3 players involved in it. In fact, I wouldn't argue against anyone who would consider them the top 2 but I'd say Siakam is right there with them.

Potential Starting Lineup: DeAaron Fox, Bryn Forbes, Keldon Johnson, Jerami Grant, Jakob Poetl

WHY KINGS

The turnover for the Kings is at positions where they already have replacements in place. Many believe that Davion Mitchell not only has the potential to be an elite defender but that he is also ready to be a starter in year one. The same goes for Haliburton who was without a doubt one of the best rookies last year and is playing well in his sophomore campaign. This move not only moves them into the starting spots, but it also adds a player in Siakam who is a "do it all" type of player. Trading Hield is significant but they also add McDermott who is shooting above 40% from 3 this year so far. The first-round pick in 2022 is a great asset to have as the Kings would continue to modify their team but make no mistake about it, this team could be SNEAKY this year after this trade.

Potential Starting Lineup: Davion Mitchell, Tyrese Haliburton, Harrison Barnes, Pascal Siakam, Rashaun Holmes

WHY RAPTORS

Moving Siakam gives the space for Scottie Barnes, OG Anunoby, Gary Trent, and Precious Achiuwa to grow as forwards. Simultaneously, the Raptors would be pairing Fred Van Vleet with one of the most dangerous shooting threats in the league in Buddy Hield. Kelly Olynk brings a true center to the roster off of the bench. Adding a 1st rounder and a favorable pick swap from San Antonio along with two 2nd rounders is also helpful as they round out their roster with talent. I think this trade makes a ton of sense for Toronto for multiple reasons moving FORWARD (pun intended). They have a ton of forwards who are being forced to play different spots just to get playing time and utilize their skills. This trade gives the rookie Scottie Barnes more opportunity to blossom in year one and it also brings a player with true center skills to the roster for more versatility in the lineups.

Potential Starting Lineup: Fred VanVleet, Buddy Hield, Gary Trent Jr., Scottie Barnes, Precious Achiuwa
