Why Atlanta

ATL gets a player that not only can replace DeAndre Hunter while he is out but can also stay right there at the SF spot when Hunter returns as Hunter plugs in at shooting guard. Until then, you can have Kevin Hueter hold down the spot as he earns his paycheck. This adds a lot of length around Trae Young. Having Josh and Frank Jackson off the bench could be electric as they are on a championship contender.

By the time the playoffs come their lineup could be

Trae Young/DeAndre Hunter/Jerami Grant/John Collins/Clint Capella

Why Detroit

Right now your shooting is atrocious. However, trading Jerami Grant, who's a bit of a ball stopper for Cade Cunningham, for Buddy Hield opens up your offense a little bit more. Hield is a HISTORIC shooter and would probably be mentioned as the best shooter in the league if Steph Curry (and maybe Klay Thompson) didn't exist. Right now statistically the Pistons' best 3 point shooter is Killian Hayes. As I propose this trade, Cade Cunningham just had a game where he shot above 80% in the game. I watched this game and was honestly frustrated because the presence of Jerami Grant, who is a really good player, kind of took the ball out of Cade's hands to the point where I feel like he could have easily had 35 to near 40 points if more plays were drawn up for him and he had shooters around him to keep that floor open. Saddiq Bey has been a terrible shooter this year but last year he shot historically in his rookie season. It's not hard to believe that he'd get his shot back eventually. Imagine Cade Cunningham, who seems to be unstoppable getting into the paint, has Buddy Hield and Saddiq Bey (once he finds his shot again) to dish it to. That could grow to he extremely dangerous and opening up the floor not only benefits Cade Cunningham but also Beef Stew who has some real skill down there in the paint if he can have more space due to the shooting threats on the perimeter. Adding Marvin Bagley helps with rebounding a lot. Josh Johnson at PF has a very athletic build and skillset. He won't get the time in ATL but in DET they may be able to help him get closer to his potential.

Why Sacremento

You get a young player ready to explode in Cam Reddish, an experienced vet who can play multiple positions in Bogdanovic, and a 1st round pick. You also get a savvy vet in Trey Lyles. In the last couple of years the rumors of dissatisfaction have run rampant in regard to Buddy Hield and Marvin Bagley. The rumors are the Kings played themselves out of getting a good return for Bagley. There are also rumors that he really wants to be in Detroit. As for Hield, the rumors of disfunction have simmered but I'm sure they want to make spaces for Tyrese Haliburton to blossom and adding Reddish could actually give them a young star to blossom as their small forward of the future as well. Gaining an extra pick is always good as they continue to build for the future. They have some great young pieces and some very good pieces to be moved if they desire to in DeAaron Fox and Harrison Barnes.
