The Raptors drafted Barnes and their frontcourt has looked full. The thought was Barnes being a 6th man type of swingman with Siakam starting. But Barnes is proving that he deserves a starting spot from the beginning. They trade Siakam from a position of strength to fill a weak area which is elite shot creation. That is what Beal brings. The defence is positioned to be very good, sacrifice some of that for one of the best scorers in the league. Taking on Bertans contract may not be ideal, but he does bring some value with his shooting.

Wizards

Dinwiddie-Trent-Kuzma-Siakam-Gafford

Flynn-KCP-Hachimura-Boucher-Harrell

One of the key weaknesses of this team is needing an adequate backup point guard, defence, and ball movement. The Wizards make this Dinwiddie's team. Bertans' contract seems like burden and they get rid of that and Beal. But bring in an all star type of player in Siakam who can put up over 20 points and play strong defence and a good passer, a good shooter and defender coming off the bench in Boucher, Trent who is a great scorer and a solid defender and still young who can still improve into a high teens PPG scorer. Add in Flynn who brings more scoring and defence off the bench as the backup point guard. They get a couple picks out of it too. They have more length and size to bother team on defence and have enough offence from Dinwidde, Siakam, Kuzma, Trent, Boucher, Rui to be a very good team.
