Why the cavs do this: Cleveland will soon be ready to give Mobley full starting Center duties and moving Allen allows this to happen. OG is just as impactful as Allen defensively, and can bring the cavs another dimension offensively. OG, okoro, and Mobley will for a fierce defensive trio. Birch gives the cavs a cheap reliable big man off the bench, and Flynn can take over backup PG duties in a year or two. OG is on one of the most team friendly deals in the league right now which will help the cavs retain levert, Mobley, okoro, and resign love in coming years.

Why the raptors do this: Toronto does not want to move OG Anunoby, but this return may convince them to do so. Allen provides the raps with a young big man that can win now and be apart of the core for many years. Allen is an all star that can provide the raps with a true interior presence. I think Toronto is good how they are, but adding Allen opens a ton of possibilities for this team. Sexton can become a scoring 6th man off the bench and provide the team a large boost of the bench when healthy. They sacrifice a FRP, but Toronto plans to go deep into the playoffs this year and that pick most likely won’t hold a ton of value for them.
