The Rockets get a guy on a 1 year contract who needs a change of scenery in Bagley and a potential lotto pick + Haliburton. This trade only goes through on Houston’s end if they’re able to get a lotto pick for wood and kpj at the one just doesn’t pan out. He just might be better suited as a two instead.

Now for the Kings. They get the best player in this trade in Wood and they get a bench wing and kpj who has potential, he’s likely in a situation where he’s being misused as he showed glimpses of stardom at the end of last season. This trade could help speed up the process of the rebuild if Kpj reverts back to his play towards the end of last year and w Wood not being tasked to be the offense. (The kings might be able to acquire houston’s second 1st rounder or Tate)
