I’ve always been one of the more… long-winded authors here, and as much as I like the basic word formatting we can do on this site, it’s definitely visually a step down from when I used to have a job writing for an actual website. However, the trade machine itself is still an invaluable tool, and I really enjoy the community here on FanSpo.

It just so happens that a friend of mine has a sports blog, and I was thinking of a way I could get the best of both worlds; post the trade on here, but have my analysis and all that pretty stuff done over on the blog, in a full standalone article. Here’s what the first post I’ve made looks like so far. I’d really appreciate any constructive feedback you guys have on the general idea, and anything else specific to that post too.

Perhaps most importantly though, if anyone is interested in doing a similar thing, let me know in the comments. My friend is an excellent editor, and if you write a lot like me, he can make it look pretty (and give you a sweet thumbnail) and post it as a full article. I think maybe someday we could have a lot of the top creators writing on there, almost like it was a sister site, but perhaps I’m getting too far ahead of myself. Either way, I do think a longer form of analysis takes us from being a loose collection of people making random trades and pushes us closer to at least looking like we’re legit writers/analysts… which is a pretty cool thing, if you ask me.
