The Sixers clear enough cap space for the 2021 and 2022 free agency to add one or two more star players. In the meantime, our starting lineup has players who better compliment Embiid and Simmons.

The Nuggets are looking to replace an aging Paul Millsap. I think Tobias's more versatile offensive game and significantly better defense helps the Nuggets win now. Plus, MPJ still has noteworthy injury concerns where as Tobias rarely ever misses games due to injuries.

Unfortunately, for the Timberwolves there is no consensus #1 pick in this upcoming draft. Since MPJ showed a lot of promise in the playoffs, the Timberwolves can use that pick in a trade for him instead of gambling on one of these rookies. MPJ can play the four next to KAT and help space the floor for Russel. Richardson, who is also young and thus will fit the timeline of the rest of the team, brings some much needed defense.

The Pelicans are well aware of the fact that Jrue Holliday will be well past his prime by the time Zion and Ingram are ready to make noise in the playoffs. In this hypothetical trade, the Pelicans get the #1 overall pick in exchange for taking on Horford's contract. Al Horford allows Zion to play the four spot where he will take less physical punishment by not having to guard opposing centers. Pus, it allows him to learn from a veteran big man. In two years time, the Pelicans will have a better idea of what their team looks like with Zion, Ingram, and whoever is drafted at #1. Horford's expiring contract and their trove of picks from the Lakers can then be used to trade for a young star player that compliments the rest of the team.
