Why does the Spurs do this?

Jakob Poeltl’s value is at its absolute peak. He is one of the most underrated players in the entire league, but I think it would be best for the long-term plans to trade him and keep developing the young core and all the other players they’ll add in this year’s draft. Adding another lottery level pick to this team would be huge because they are on the brink of breaking out to a playoff team once again.

Why does the Hornets do this?

They finally find their center to pair alongside LaMelo Ball. Jakob Poeltl will help them finally reach the playoffs. That have been the plan since LaMelo Ball arrived to Charlotte. He can be an incredible defensive anchor in the paint and help the opponents to force up shoots. They also add more assets while still having a first round pick in this year’s draft.

Why does the Grizzlies do this?

I think that the Grizzlies are ready to take another step forward. Adding a veteran like Josh Richardson will provide a scoring punch off the bench and help this team contribute immediately. Perimeter shooting is also lacking quite a bit whenever Desmond Bane is off the floor so Josh Richardson can help add to that whenever Desmond Bane is resting.

Why does the 76ers do this?

Right now, it’s going to be hard to replace the production of Danny Green if they do end up waive him, so it would be better for the 76ers to trade Danny Green’s contract coupled with some second round picks to add a really solid contributor like Kelly Oubre Jr. He can easily be a spark plug off the bench, but can also play during crunch time at the end of the game.
