This Why Kareem Is the Most Overrated Player in NBA History!

Lebron is averaging 29/8/6 along with 1.5 steals 1 block. On 52/35/76 splits. It’s one of his best scoring and efficient campaigns of his career and he’s 37. But ofc he’s not even close to the MVP conversation because his team sucks and maybe won’t even make the play-in much less the playoffs!

Yet Kareem’s greatest achievement is his record 6 MVPs. 6 MVPs that he did not deserve. I argue he deserves only 4. The most unworthy one is ofc 1975-76 when he won MVP when his team didn’t even make the playoffs. Some context btw… he FORCED his way out of Milwaukee to LA, a stunt that would be crucified for in the Social Media era, then couldn’t even make the playoffs. Didn’t even have a winning record went 40-42 and Kareem played all 82 games! He averaged 28/17/5/4/1 on 53/7 in 41 minutes per game. Amazing numbers that didn’t win shit. Honestly he got the MVP more for his league leading 17 rebound and 4 blocks, he hands down deserved the DPOY award that didn’t exist yet. That year MVP voting was almost as tight as this year. Four players had over 20 first place votes. 🥈 Macadoo: 31/12/4/2/1 on 49/76 splits. Was his third straight scoring title. Lead the league in minutes and team went 46-36. 🥉 Cowens: 19/16/4/1/1 on 47/76. Def not his best year individually yet they won the Celtics were 54-28 and they won the title. He averaged 20/16 on 52% in the Finals… snubbed from FMVP.
4th Barry: 21/6/6/3 on 44/92 splits only averaged 38 minutes per game. Took a more Playmaking role this year finally not averaging 30 ppg and team won 59 games! In the playoffs he played 13 games averaging 24/7/7/3/1 on 44/88!
