Who says no?

SUCCESS

As much as it pains wolves' fans to admit, when it comes down to paying Randle, Naz and NAW. NAW is likely the odd man out, Minnesota could likely go up to $12 million and stay below the second aporn; while still leaving enough money to spend on the Detroit 1st and Utah's 2nd (which could very well be the first pick in the second round). Jaylen Clark's very promising regular season play, probably made NAW expendable. Clark was as good, if not better than NAW defensively and displayed enough promise as an outside shooter, where Finch felt comfortable putting him in the (regular season) 8-9 man rotation. Clark will make $2 million next season, I imagine Minnesota will try and sign him to one of those Gupta "Naz Reid" specials to keep him around for another 3-4 years at a price under $3.5 million per season. Whereas, as an unrestricted free agent, NAW will likely be able to sign a contract that pays him in the ballpark of $12-$16 million per season.

With these re-signings, plus the addition of Sasser and the Detroit and Utah picks, Minnesota's salary obligations would be at least $7 million under the second apron and even with salary increases in the following few season, it would remain under the projected 2nd apron. Plus, Minnesota has to find minutes for Terrence Shannon jr. and they'll absolutely want to hasten Dillingham's development by giving him 10-15 minutes a game, so he's ready to take over for Conley in 26-27.

I think NAW would be an amazing fit in Detroit... don't know if the Lakers make this deal, if they don't, Minnesota could find another team.
